On October 14, 2018 we were lucky enough to see a Wilsons Snipe at the south end of the Great Lawn in Central Park. I am happy I had the oportunity to see it and take a few bad photographs.

A snipe is approximately robin sized and is only seen during migration. A Canada goose is a much larger bird that stays all year. Cornell’s site https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Wilsons_Snipe/id is a good place to learn about birds.
Is this character the largest one might see in Central Park?

I think every snipe sighting = wondrous moment and slightly less than perfect photographs!
