Sheri, I live in Skillman (near Princeton, New Jersey). I don’t visit Manhattan often but maybe one day we can meetup and you can show me around (from a photographic perspective. Love the captures.
Not your usual, Sherry, but I like it and especially that you got the Statue of Liberty in the background of the first shot, sort of mimicking the light stand.

That would be fun.
Poor old thing! 🙂 🙂
Nice shot Sherry. I’ve never been to Governor’s Island. It’s on my to do list.
You should love it. They have good food wagons on the weekends. Weekdays BYO. Check their site for ferry schedule
Will do, thanks for the info:)
yes, I see the statue in the distance. and the look of abandonment!
After the… 😉
show me rust and I’ll follow you anywhere =^_^=
we were joking 🙂
Nice shots Sherry. Needs some TLC though. I’ll rent a sandblaster – you bring the paint?
But I like the rust! How about fixing it so it stays that way. 🙂
Norm leave the rust alone, that was a great capture by Sherry!
I would have appreciated an even closer view, Sher.
There is a a close up of the door. How much closer would you like 🙃

Thanks. It is an odd one. The rust atracted me.
I’d have been attracted to the rust, too. I’d probably have made abstract closeups of it.
Although I grew up in New York, I never visited Governor’s Island. I can’t remember whether it was open to the public way back then.
