What a fabulous alley, rather like an English mews.

There are a few alleys like this. Many of the houses used to be carriage houses like the ones in London.

Wonderful…..guessing like London though very expensive these days!

All converted carriage houses are expensive.

What a great alley you found! I love the little building that has a rounded corner, #21, and the last door are my favorites. The shutters on the window and little awning on that last door…sweet! 🙂

You look too innocent to be a gate crasher but these doors seem to do things to people! Great photos!

They left the door open so I went in, pretended I didn’t see the sign. I was chased out just after I took my last shot. 🙂

Pretty alley and you captured it very well. Love the lighting effect – it feels like seeing a movie scene 🙂

Cool! I had never heard of this place but I will try to check it out the next time I get down to NYC. Some lovely shots in this collection Sherry, that red door in the second shot is my favorite 🙂

Lovely shots, Sherry. What an inviting place! Most places now don’t have alleys, but I remember them.

Thank you. There are quite a few alleys in downtown Manhattan. I am thinking of photographing some more of them.
