Almost every birder in New York City knows about the vagrant Yellow-breasted Chat at Trinity Church at the end of Wall Street in Manhattan. I too went there to photograph it. It took me three tries to get good shots.
On one of the days that I failed to see the Chat I was gifted with the sight of a tiny Winter Wren. I used Corel Painter on one photograph of the wren.

Beautiful set of photos of Trinity Church and the birds. This is possibly one of the most photographed Yellow-breasted Chats in the city. Possibly more than the ones that hung out at Bryant Park a few winters ago. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve seen lots of photo of it too. Had to get some of my own. It is such a cooperative little chap. Thanks for dropping by.

Oh how very exciting, Sherry! That little chat should’ve been on his way south by now, and he must be getting a tremendous amount of attention; so much he may never want to leave! Your photos of the chat and wren and thrush are all so lovely.

That Chat is definitely used to a paparazzi and I flew up close to me. Hope it survives. Glad you like my pic s, thanks.

They are pretty birds..you captured them very well! Are they permanent residents of the Church?

The Chat is not usual. It stopped by during migration and hasn’t left. The wren is a winter visitor.
