On the second day we went to the Montauk Point, Napeague 4×4, Ditch Palins Beach, and Gardiner’s Bay. The next to last photograph is of the group disppearing down the trail. I could not keep up. This was the case on all the walks. A few we sopped at locations close to the cars. Those I managed. Montauk Historical Society tells about the lighthouse. Marc took some excellent photographs.

Beautiful captures Sherry! Winter image captures are truly hard for me and especially with a cold and I commend you, Sherry, as I’m still relearning to enjoy the cold to get those winter images.
Getting that shot was your bonus for not keeping up 🙂
If I ever go again it will have to be on our own so I can go slowly to look at things and take pictures.
I have got to the stage where I take as many pics as I can in the car, disembarking for short walks
That is my preference too.
wow, how fun to be with you and the group on Montauk, Sherry. Looks really really cold and you are all so intrepid to be adventuring out there. It looks like a wonderful place. I will have to take a look at Part 1 of this magnificent site. Loved the photos.
Thanks Jet. Gald you enjoyed these and the Long-tailed.
Memories of birding Montauk
Hi Jill, This was my first and last time.
