Oh my gosh, I had no idea this part existed! I hope you get to tour the hospital part of the Island. Huge fan of living history museums.
One of my favorite museums in NYC was the Tenement Museum. Interesting and insightful to see how the early immigrants lived.
We used to live in some of those tenements with the bathtubs in the kitchen. I’ve been to the Tenement Museum. There’s a link to my husband’s tour bottom right.
Wow! What an interesting and difficult living setup. Those are some stories to tell. Do you have any pictures?

Nice photos and the enhancements of the sky look great! My daughter’s name is Ellis and one day we must take her to Ellis Island. 🙂
