HL Plants Before and After

Before photographs with minimal processing and after with full editing and processing of winter plants photographed on the High Line Park in New York City. The yellow flowers are Witch-hazel. I just learned from a fellow blogger that there is a before and after slider. It is one of the blocks we can use in WordPress. This gives you and idea of how much I enhance images in Lightroom and Photoshop to make them look how I feel they should.

Move the sliders to see the before (left) and after (right).

I’m especially taken with the witch hazel. It’s a plant I’d love to see, but I’ve yet to find it. I suspect it’s an east Texas plant. Your photos of it are lovely, but my real favorite here is that little blue-gray ‘whatever.’ The ‘after’ view is especially nice.

Thank you. I did extra work on these because The challenge at f64 Elite https://f64elite.com/ is to show before and after work for possible critiques. It is a great learning experience. Love his tutorials too. Very thorough. Blake Rudis has a free YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/EverydayHDR if you are interested. It is not about HDR..

The before ones are the shot the after’s are the finals. I guess you like the before images?
