I very much enjoyed all these doors, Sherry, and the fresh bits of spring as well. I especially like your photo of the elegant grate.
Thanks Jet. Always good to get your comments. I was intrigued that the grate was made in India.
Ah yes, NYC NEVER disappoints. A lovely collection Sherry 🙂
Thanks Norm. I have years of exploring to do.
What a lovely variety of doors you have found.
Thank you Anne.
You sure found some interesting buildings!
Thanks. Glad you like them.
Hi Sherry, tried to see your last week’s doors, but it would not load up on my (old) computer, so I am happy to see this wonderful collection of hard to overlook doors. Also love the angle in which you took your first two images – ingenious!
The images on my posts are all 1200 px wide at 72 dpi – not too large. I do graphics; therefore, I buy the fastest biggest computer I can get. My gamer is 3 years old and can still out perform most new computers. Next time you need a new one consider that. In this case it maybe your internet speed that is at fault. Run a speed test (Google it).
My Galaxy Note 10+ does wide angle and I used it on the top 2.
I love the doorway to the B. Altman building. What was that, a department store? Great doors!
I provided a history link at the top pf the page to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B._Altman_and_Company
Lots of history there. What’s the Remsen building?
Thanks. A quick search revealed that the Ramsen building has a 1928 arched Romanesque façade and a pre-war ornate lobby. Originally built as a hotel on 11 floors it became a full-service coop with 103 apartments.
A, hence the luxury look!
These were difficult to catch, I’ll bet
Nah! I always keep my eye out for interesting doors. There are lots more I haven’t seen yet.
Thanks for the Virtual glimpses!
You bet 🙂
😊
