Same hot day I photographed the insects in Central Park. There are are quite a few wildflower beds around the park. The Conservatory Garden is good for flowers too. I love the bokeh on the Nikon 105 mm f 1:208 Micro lens. No special effects. OK, so the last one is a tree.

Gorgeous flowers!
Thank you so much.
Sweet floral shots (and tree)! 🙂 WordPress should leave things alone!!!
Thanks. True. I still don’t like the new reader because it cross images.
I just read the comments here, and same for me. I find WordPress totally perplexing and I am sometimes too busy to fiddle with it, and when I come back a month later, everything is different.
Seems they are trying to force us to use the reader more. I was able to adjust my list of folks I follow better there than in the WP Admin section. In that list I was able to see if I was I will get emails or not. If you are a paying customer their tech help is excellent.
Beautiful photos, flowers are so hard to photograph right..these are lovely 😊
Thank you James. I try hard to make my flower photos not the usual. I’ve been missing your posts. I used to get emails about your new posts and they stopped. When I clicked unfollow and then follow it said I would see your posts in the reader. A new WP thing?
I am the same…I no longer get emails from WordPress when some people I follow post new items…and some people I have been following for years I new find that I am no longer following…must be a WordPress ‘bug’…
I discovered when I commented on your site there appeared a box asking me if I wanted emails on future posts or only reader. I clicked emails. lets see if that works. I hate it when WP changes what was already working. I’ll to ask them what to do about this ands why it is happening to some that I follow and not others.
I have just been through the list of people that I follow and have noticed that several are missing, and I haven’t unfollowed them…very odd…and annoying too
Perfect collection! Looking at the bud of the Chinese bell flower, who would guess it would blossom the way it does in the following photo!
Thanks Barbara. Happy 4th 🙂
