Wailea

We had breakfast at the Kula Lodge | Upcountry Maui | Accommodations and Dining after visiting Haleakala National Park. I loved the views. For dinner we dined at Pita Paradise Restaurant | Mediterranean | Seafood | Maui, Hawaii (pitaparadisehawaii.com) in Wailea. The food was good. I enjoyed it more that the more highly rated and extremely noisy Monkeypod Kitchen that we dined at previously. After dinner we caught a glorious sunset by the shore.

More dramatic skies. We, too, find that some restaurants drive us away because of their noisy popularity

The sunsets and sunrises were all grand on Maui. It only takes a few noisy tables to start everyone talking loudly. If the acoustics of the room are poor that doesn’t help either. And Americans in general are too noisy. In NYC we dine out extra early to help avoid noise. Hearing well in a crowd as we get older is a challenge.
