I provided a link in my previous post https://littleisland.org/. Pier 55 West Side of lower Manhattan about 4 blocks from our home. It is hugely popular. It just opened.
I like the absolutely freaky allium and the white campe…uh..bluebells. There is something unsettling in the design..I cannot put my finger on it. I’d have to think on it. I find the flow is off for me. Could be me.
The off flow could be due to my random photos. It is well designed and flows very well. The paths wind up, down, and around with different vistas at every turn. A video walk through would show it properly.
I never saw those short stemmed white alliums before. Very effective in a windy spot.
This reminds me of a similar concept, there are several floating islands installed on the Seine in Paris to highlight several features of the landscape.
Fantastic views, Sherry! Where is this located?

Those short, big, allium look like so much sculpture. I had one last year. I think a deer or something got it this year.

It is in Manhattan on the lower west side. Right by where we live.

I especially like the bench shown in the photo about mid-way through. It looks much like hill country Texas benches made from native woods.

The benches are well done. I like them too.

A lot of cities are adding greenery and recreation areas to their waterfronts. It is lovely to see.
