Hudson River Park at sunset. I was testing how much light and noise is created when using my my new 2x teleconverter for the Nikkor Z 70-200mm f /2.8 VR S lens on my Nikon Z7. This 2x teleconverter gives the lens a 100% boost (effectively giving me a 140-400mm f/5.6 – loosing ~2 stops of light). I think the results of these photos taken in low light after noise reduction in post are acceptable. Once a long time ago I tried a 2x teleconverter on an f/5.6 lens it lost so much light the images were too grainy to use.
I’m not able to convince my wife to drive in. It’s been 13 months. I miss it.

Soon we will all be able to travel safely again. I want to see my grandson and family in London.

Beautiful pictures, Sherry!! Hope all is well. We were finally able to get our vaccines yesterday, so it is a start on protection from this crazy virus. It also sounds like our Government is finally approaching it correctly, so there is hope. Love, Cathy

Thanks Cathy. We are OK. NYC doesn’t have enough vaccines plus the means to distribute it seems to be lacking. We can’t get appointments anywhere except up by the Canadian border.

The last time I was in NYC, we walked through that park during the day. Thanks for jogging a nice memory. I think the pictures are very nice.

Thanks Dan. I don’t go there in the daytime now because there are too many unmasked people.

Beautiful – The Colgate Clock always brings back a ton of memories as, for me, it has always been there. It has still not been overshadowed by our unstoppable real estate developments. Great images. Thank You.
