On the corner of Prince and MacDougal Streets is 205 Prince Street. Next door is o a Greek Revival/Federal building on land once owned by Aron Burr. I haven’t tried the little French bistro, The Little Prince. I plan to do so soon. Many years ago there were several French restaurants there and they celebrated Bastille Day with food, wine and boules in the street. This year one Bastille Day street fair will be on July 14 on West 60th Street.

Hi Sherry, will you be at the Bastille Day event? I think it would be a fun event for my wife and me to attend together, and perhaps afterwards go for a late afternoon walk in Central Park.

Marc and I would love to do that. Email me at sherryfelix@sherryfelix.com and we’ll set up the details.

Sherry, I talked to my wife and learned something new. She dislikes all things French 🇫🇷. Wine, cheese, music, food, art, culture and I won’t repeat what she said about French people. I’ll have to think about winning her over before July 14.

That’s funny. I lived in Paris for 6 months and met lovely people and a few snobs too. How could one not like French bread, crepes or croissants? We could just do Central Park if she wants to skip the fair.

Lovely ambiance with the shadows of the trees on the building! The doors, and their frames are beautiful. Favor your first capture, for it says history to me:)

Unfortunately, we have been back for almost a month now. So we are back into awful weather (cold temperature and rain since our return). We were in Taz in March (from 10 to 21st)

Pity. It is a wet and chilly Spring here too in NYC.

Well, thank you for the tip, and I love the tint in your photos. Adds a hint of a bygone world without overdoing it. x

Thanks. That was the look I was after. I used a preset I adjusted in onOne and tweaked it in Photoshop.
