On the way back from Cape May I looked at Google Maps and discovered Cattus Island County Park, Ocean County Parks in New Jersey. It was a nice place and worth seeing again.

I’ve never heard of a pitcher plant before, the pink/purple flowers are beautiful, and I like the snapping turtle though I don’t think I’d want to meet one 🙂

I think the insect eating plants are spooky. 🦟

I’ve never seen pitcher plant species apart from the ones that grow in our area. These are beautiful.

I entered Cattus Island along your path photo and viewed the beautiful woodpecker, next coming upon what almost appeared to be another being – the Trumpet Pitcher! Startling how life like it seems in your photo!

Thanks. I may go there again. It is a bit of a long drive to get there.
