Back on the 9th of September I had a small procedure done, a redo of a Nissen fundoplication, and I stayed overnight in the brand-new Kimmel Pavilion at NYU Langone. It was a fancy room, better than any hotel I ever stayed at. It had a huge TV with a bedside tablet and remote that allowed me to manage everything: Lights, temperature, bed angle, window shades, internet, phone, TV and more. Pity I wasn’t allowed to stay longer. Most of these photos were shot by my husband Marc on his cell.
Great images, love the two statues. Best wishes

Sherry, I hope you are feeling better! I love the dalmatian and taxi statue. It was made in Sparta Wisconsin and I saw a portion of its mold (the head) when I visited the company’s mold yard in my drive cross country. Nice to see the finished product.

I’m all better thanks. It’s a simple fix. I love the results – no more meds.
How fascinating that you saw the start of this sculpture. Now I know where it was made.

Fun and interesting shots! The size of that TV screen, in a hospital yet??? Better they put their money into gourmet meals!

Big TVs cost very little these days. A 50″ costs $500 and they probably paidmuch less than that for a bulk order. TV keeps the patients quiet. Vital for the nurses. Your right about the food. They managed to serve broth that tasted awful and jello that tasted like chemicals. The tea was cold and the juice had an unnatural aftertaste.

Oh yes, I’m fine thanks. It works for me because I can’t tolerate h-blocker and PPI meds.
