I am receiving treatments for a flare up of my long term Lyme. I will be posting or responding to other posts infrequently while I am laid up. I hope to resume my normal activities soon.

Oh, Sherry, I had no idea you suffer from chronic Lyme. My 20-year-old daughter was diagnosed with it in high school and, five years later, is still dealing with the fallout of all the meds she was on. Sending healing hugs to you and prayers that you’re up and about again soon.

Thanks. I hope your daughter gets and keeps a full remission. Younger folks usually fair better.

Hoping you feel much better soon, Sherry! My cousin got Lyme’s Disease just from working in her backyard vegetable garden. It is in our area too… and, since i have a lot of osteoarthritis anyway, i am no longer going into wooded areas to take my nature photos! It sure messed up my cousin’s health, but she is improving.

Thanks. I take precautions; therefore, I see no need to cut myself off from nature which I love. This relapse is an immune thing not a new tick bite.

The ticks in our area are so aggressive that you can cover yourself with DEET spray and they’ll still get on you. I’m mostly finished with the woods!

Hope you’re up and around soon. I know what it is to live with a chronic illness. Mine is chronic fatigue. My massage therapist got Lyme from a tick bite. She found a doctor in New York who is amazing in treating the illness. Would you like me to get his name and phone number for you. My chiropractor’s daughter also has Lyme. Both the massage therapist and chiroprator (with daughter) have flown out to see him. He must be good for them to fly across country! Let me know.
