I may have asked you this and forgotten, but have you read John McPhee’s The Pine Barrens? It’s quite a good book, and it’s nice to have your images to go with it.

The Pine Barrens feels mysterious and spooky to me. Not someplace I would like to be lost in. And it is easy to get lost there.

I haven’t read McPhee’s Pine Barrens yet. I will – thanks for the tip. I loved his Basin and Range and other books on Geology.
