Midtown Doors

Bergdorf is as elegant as its doors. Bill’s Restaurant is now closed. I particularly like the lamps around the 1872 Central Synagogue. It snowed. #ThursdayDoors

All of the photos with snow are appealing, but the fourth and seventh are especially appealing. They have a painterly quality that recalls Childe Hassam’s winter views of the city. Of course, the more modern look of the photo of Bill’s is equally appealing.

Thanks Tanja. The post is supposed to be about doors, but the lamps are so nice I had to include them.

Very nice photos today, Sherry. The falling snow adds a lovely layer to these interesting buildings.

I love Midtown, Sherry and these are wonderful doors and beautiful photographs. I love the ones showing the snow falling. I’ve seen many of these buildings, but I haven’t been to New York City since June 2019 so it’s very good to see these photos. Thanks.
