GV Doors by Marc

Today I’m posting some Greenwich Village Doors photographed by Marc Felix. One mosoleum gate from Green-Wood in Brooklyn. The bulldog over the old stable used to be the emblem of Wells Fargo.

A nice collection of doors. My favorite is that last one.

I don’t know but I seem to like the very simple Commerce St blue door the best

Wow, Sherry – I can’t believe the crooked bricks in the last two photos . You wonder what the walls look like inside!! Thanks, as always, for sharing. Hope all is well. We are hanging in there – we probably got only an inch or so of snow overnight. Of course the cold is not allowing it to melt off our cars, so I have to get to work. Love, Cathy

I guess they just replaster when it cracks inside 🙂 It looked like 5 inches of snow here.

Great doors, Sherry/Marc – That top photo shows a remarkable building. I need to find this when I visit again.

I particularly noted the elaborate detail in the first Murray Hill photo. It is almost more decor than building! The green gate is lovely!

I especially like the colors of the mausoleum gate, but in the photo just below, kudos to the homeowners as well as the photographer: the round skylight above the door and the round, concrete ball next to it make for a pleasing view.
