    Oh so wonderful to see the birds, Sherry. You do a great job of capturing the spirit of each species. The hermit thrush with that looking-up thing they do, the fluttering that the kinglets do, the boldness of the robin in the berries. The peace of the white dove in the tree. I also really appreciated the bright green spot in the green-winged teal, and the washing-up of the northern shoveler. But my favorite is that you actually spotted the ruby crown in the kinglet, something that I know is nearly impossible to do. Really fun, thank you.

    The photo of the robin is delightful. With luck, we’ll have some this year. They’re one of my favorite birds: for their song as much as for their appearance. I would have confused the Ruby-crowned Kinglet with the Goldfinches that are arriving here now.

      On the top view of the kinglet, which is a tiny fast moving bird, you can see a tiny spot of red.
