One image reworked and tinted from this Spring and the other is odd view 4tthrough a lamp. Both in Manhattan NY.

Wonderful lines in both photos, Sherry, and each one, so completely unique. Great to see these NY city lamps.

The first image reminds me of the artwork used on the Jacquie Lawson e-cards. Yours is more complex and more finely done, but there’s just ‘something’ about it. It’s very pleasing.

Thanks. I am not a fan of Jackie Lawson and do not know what they have there. If anyone sends me a card from there I block it. They mine data even though they say they do not.
To make this image I converted the photo to linework or sketch, inverted the image to make white outlines, duplicate layers, and different blending modes, filters and overlays.

I rarely use Lawson, but I’ve done so more frequently the past couple of years for overseas friends. Mail’s no longer dependable — I’m still waiting on Christmas and birthday cards from Canada, for heavens’ sake! It’s nice to be able to send a greeting to a friend in England or elsewhere and know it will arrive.

I put a picture in an email and send it out as a Christmas card.
If your recipients don’t mind that is OK. As part of good netiquette no one should give out someone else’s email address without asking. When I got those cards I wasn’t asked first. And as I said, Lawson profits from that data. So I don’t go near that site.
