Oh Sherry, this was such a pleasant visit to the two NJ parks. Thank you for each one of these magnificent photos, and many thanks to Marc, too. It was lovely to see both the flora and fauna, as well as the sky and waterways. I really liked each photo, but my favorites were the blueberry, the swallow dipping into the river, the wood frog, black-eyed Susans, damselfly, contemplative song sparrow, and the one that made me take in my breath for its utter magnificence: the GBH and cormorant.

Sherry, your photos capture so well so much of the flora and fauna of the Great Swamp and Lord Stirling. Many of us had difficulty getting a good look at the Wood Frog so I really appreciate seeing Marc’s excellent photo. I love the composition of your photos, especially the flowers and butterflies. Thank you for sharing these gems!

I think your frog may have been a Green Frog. Marc’s Wood Frog with a black face was in the woodland. Thanks for leaving a comment. 🙂

It was fun to see one of my favorite birds, the Green Heron, here. I especially liked the broader view of the landscape, just because it’s so different from ours, and so attractive.
