NYBG 2

Second post of New York Botanical (map Interactive Map » New York Botanical Garden (nybg.org)) photographs. We joined NYBG that way we can get in for free and get half off on the parking. We ate lunch atone of the restaurants at Arthur Avenue. It was not good. The quality of the food at these restaurants has fallen since the pandemic. Such a shame. I really enjoyed eating there. I will have to prepare a picnic lunch and carry it around, which is not desirable along with all my cameras and binoculars, or find another place to eat nearby that still has decent food.

I’d never heard of the Heuchera Caramel, but it certainly looked good enough to eat. I was pleased to find an enlightening article on the ever-dependable Missouri Botanical Garden site. Both for the color and the textures, that was the highlight of this collection for me.

That orange leaved plant was for sale at the garden’s store. I love the color. 🙂

What a joy to see your photographs, Sherry, of the NY Botanical Garden sights. Each one is a work of art. I loved seeing the wood duck pair and springtime scenes. The one I gasped at, so beautiful it was: #5 cherry tree with green grass and daffodil. Also really liked the two seed pods and tree stump. Thanks for so artfully sharing this spring beauty.

Your welcome Rudi. I am going on a birding trip to Hempstead State Park, Long Island. Hope you have a good one too.
