Hudson Yards

I took a walk with my new Nikon Z 7 and wet by Hudson Yards which has a shopping complex in one of the buildings. It is the first time I’ve been there. It felt deserted because there were so few shoppers. Many stores were not open and there’s lots of spaced for new ones. The lights were lovely and created interesting reflections. The Vessel is an interesting feature. I haven’t been up it yet. On the way back home I stopped at the river for a minute.

Looks like a fun way to put your new camera to work, Sherry. You did a great job of capturing the Hudson Yards, with many shapes and angles and lines. And I espec. loved the Hudson River photos.

I hope you do come visit soon. I hope NYC survives this. We need tourists. It is safe to come now in my opinion because there are so few people around one can easily social distance.

It’s an exciting place, I was there a year ago and between shapes and reflections there is plenty to have a good time as a photographer.

Hi Sherry, Hudson Yards was on my calendar for an April 2020 field trip with the Princeton Photo Workshop. It was posponted to October 2020 and now postponed without a future date. I have a friend who works in one of the buildings.

Parking is easy enough. You can try the streets or pay. The shops building has restrooms on every floor. Lovely new ones.

It was a little sad being so empty of shoppers during he holiday season. Most of the shops were too high ends for me anyway.
