Found a lovely house in Kerhonkson but it was too far from medical and shopping plus there was no cell phone coverage there. Sigh. We’ll keep looking. Pictures taken during the trip.

….my brother lives in Pawlet, Vt. He says house prices have fallen. It is one charming little village with a brook running through it. Amtrak availability in Whitehall, N.Y. He’s got cellphone and internet. Just adding to your choices, is all. We’re pulling for you.

Thanks. I see places for sale in Zillow in VT but it is impossible to drive there round trip in a day to go look. Plus my medical care is in NYC, which is why I think it best to stick to near NYC. Unfortunately, prices have not dropped here. Almost everywhere has cell phone reception and internet is never a problem. However, some remote areas and valleys don’t get cell phone coverage. I want to stay away from those areas because of age and health reasons.
