    The flowering spurge in the first photo is all over east Texas woods just now. I’ve been watching for the bloom of the plant in the third photo, too; I think it’s what’s called ‘winter clematis’ around here. It isn’t native to our area, but it surely is beautiful. I know I’ve never seen the last two, but they certainly are striking.
