JB and FBF

Jamaica Bay and Floyd Bennett Field are part of Gateway NRA, Brooklyn, New York. I added the artichoke at the end because I like the flowers.

I so enjoyed this wonderful series of earthly delights, Sherry. Your photos are such a joy. That eastern wood-pewee photo is fantastic. Hard to find them in the forest, first of all, and then capture them perched, another challenge. Lovely to see the paper wasp nest, the artichoke flowers, the butterflies, moth, and least sandpiper. My favorite photo is the sunflower, I like the way its nodding its head downward, and the colors and clarity are spectacular. Delightful post, my friend.

Another lovely set. I smiled at your reason for including the artichoke 🙂

A lovely series. I like the artichoke flowers also. The yellow moth/butterfly is an interesting one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that bright yellow in a moth or butterfly before. Thanks for sharing.

I especially enjoyed seeing the wasp nest. The Silene was a treat, too. It’s a genus I’m just learning about.

I like the little bird in the first shot and I agree about the artichoke flowers, they are a lovely colour and look quite pretty 🙂
