E B Forsythe NWR

We visited E. B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Atlantic County, New Jersey, for a couple of hours before viewing a house for sale nearby.

I loved seeing your hairstreak. I captured a couple of grays a while ago, but those and a juniper hairstreak are the only species I’ve seen. This one’s quite pretty — as is the landscape generally. I’d love having that horizon!

You’re looking at houses? How exciting! Forgot until just now—one of my first frequently used passwords was Rynchops and variations on that theme. Also used Chlidonias.

The search is difficult. Many of the houses I want to look at the agents never get back to me.

What an incredible visit you had to Forsythe, Sherry. It’s easy to see how much joy you were experiencing out there in the open air. Each photo is a work of art. I love the billowy clouds, all the delightful insects, and numerous bird species. Great to capture the racer, too. My two favorite photos are the first one, with the field and farmhouse; and the GBH and great egret turned in opposite directions. Thanks for taking us there with you.
