I’ve never heard of one of these before, in fact the post title made me think of a Christmas turkey 🙂 It looks very small and very cute 🙂

Funny. The name ovenbird refers to its nest on the ground. “Its nest, a leaf-covered dome resembling an old-fashioned outdoor oven, gives the Ovenbird its name.” (source: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ovenbird/lifehistory). The call is a loud “teacher teacher.”
