Pause

If any of you are wondering why I haven’t been posting much lately, I am not able to get out much to do photography because of my worsening long term Lyme. Thanks to our wonderful health care in the USA, I can’t get the care I need unless I pay full price of ~$5,000 a week for the IVIG treatment I need. It is no longer covered by Medicare plus a supplemental. If all goes well, I anticipate being able to afford treatments sometime in the future. Until then I will rest and do what I can.

Meanwhile, it would be nice if we had snow in New York City. We might have some this weekend.

Sorry to read of your challenges with Lyme, Sherry. My spouse pays out of pocket for herbal treatments, which seem to help reduce the severity, but they don’t cost quite as much as yours do. That must be such a burden to bear.

Thanks. The few times I tried some herbals for a while I felt no improvement. Perhaps I didn’t use the right ones. So I’m not a believer. What I want is IVIG, an intravenous immune booster

I am taking prescribed antibiotics. That does not work. I know form past experience what works at this stage.

Oh dear. Is it the treatment you can’t afford? Can you get any relief with anti microbial herbs and diet modifications? I guess they cost money too. Rest, rest, rest, clean water and calming music and meditation might help alleviate the symptoms a bit. Thinking of you – Suzanne

Oh, that truly is not great about the Lyme! Do you think “megadosing on Vitamin C” would help, There are a few Dr. Googles out there who state, that primates are the only animals who don’t make their own Vitamin C. I, hope, you are able to get ahead of this, as you have a unique viewpoint in your images

I haven’t heard that large doses of Vitamin C can help Lyme. I’ve been living with this for decades and have tried many things. When I have the funds to i will resume treatments. Thanks ofr the compliment.

Hey, I am sorry to hear this. I had not heard of Lyme’s disease until I saw your post. How are things at your end? Medical seems really expensive in the US, and this is bad

My God, what am I learning?
The price of the treatment is … ciomment to say … excessive in my eyes.
I hope with all my heart that you will succeed (in one way or another) to succeed in getting treatment so that you can heal at best.
I hope you’re going to have the snow you’re hoping for
    My thoughts are with you

There are many who can’t afford medical care in the US. Some are cancer patients, who can’t afford treatment. I feel sorry for the poor cancer patients because not affording treatment means death.

I know that and I think it’s awful, it’s unacceptable
Did not Obama make a reform that just made poor people happy about care?

Yes, some poor can now get minimal health care. No change to prices of certain drugs. Costs went up.

It’s not easy coping with chronic conditions, and even more difficult when financial considerations are added to the stresses. My best to you, and every good wish for improvement.

I am sorry you are not well. These treatments should not cost so much. It is the greedy pharmaceutical industry and poor health plans. I hope you feel better again

Thank you. I looked at the site and coaching support is expensive, it could add up to ~$500. I need to interact with a person because I don’t do well with training videos or books. I will keep it in mind..

Sorry to hear about the Lyme and lack of coverage Sherry 🙁 I hope you feel better soon. Seems to me the national emergency would be healthcare for all in the USA rather than a vanity project (wall).
