Heavenly Bodies in 3 Colors

Heavenly Bodies is a fun exhibit at the Met and Cloisters in NYC loosely based on Falini’s satirical commentary on the Catholic Church in his 1972 film, Roma. The costumes are excellent and so are the settings. I spent time removing the crowds and processing the photos.

Wonderful. I love how you organized by color. And the work removing the ropes and distractions. Just wow. I absolutely loved the show but the Met was crowded today and it was hard to get time with each garment. I think the Cloisters part was my favorite because of the way the fashions were used with the architecture.

Thanks for taking a look Marie. I agree, the ones at the Cloisters blend with the architecture best. It’s easy and fast to remove unwanted ropes and things in Photoshop. I find that going there the moment the Museum opens is best. I am usually out of there by noon.

I hope you get to go to the cloisters before it gets any warmer.

Thanks. The manekins stay still, unlike birds. The crowds get in the way, so it’s best to go early.
