City Botanics

Thursday April 26 was a quiet day for birds so I decided to focus on flowers. They were mostly photographed in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and a few in Central Park.

Found it! So these are the gardens at Prospect Park. This Old House visited Prospect Park and Merchant’s House Museum while filming the restoration of a Brownstone in Brooklyn. I searched your archives for related photos, but could not find any from the Merchant’s House which is the only preserved family home from the 19th century. Also, I wanted to learn more about the lake at Prospect Park. An urban lake?

Thanks Indah. It is so hot here today. Warblers migrating through in full force.

I enjoyed this walk through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Sherry, a wonderful variety of unique plants and flowers. Fun to see what you found in Central Park, too. Venus Flytraps are so cool, something I hardly ever see. Your cherry blossom pano was delightful.

Ha! I can imagine the collection. Pretty flowers are hard to resist with a camera.
