Chinatown Dim Sum

I’m reading a novel, “The Last Chinese Chef” by Nicole Mones. It is illuminating to learn about the philosophy behind the ancient culinary history. Traditional round chopping blocks are mentioned in the story. I edited this image later to hide faces.

We at Dim Sum ate our favorite multi-story Dim Sum house, The Golden Dragon. They have a wide varity to choose from.

I don’t know if there is any significance to the Buddha heads in the tree trunks, just caught my eye.

Round chopping block. It is unique. People pictures are awkward. It is , I agree , easier to be cautious and skip them. Nice Buddha heads in the trees. They look striking.

Thanks. I had to remove it from other social media. Someone complained it was an invasion of privacy. This is why I don’t normally include people. I was aiming for the chopping block.

Perhaps people seen through a window is an invasion of privacy; but people in a public place is not. I generally ask permission, even so.

I don’t like to ask, so normally I don’t photograph people. I will make sure to never do so again.

Most people, I’ve found, are very willing. Sometimes I take the shot then ask. If they are not happy, I delete it.

I will never ask and want to photograph people. I’ll edit this image ASAP since I didn’t go into the restaurant to ask.
