Anemones on Governors Island

The new Hills on Governors Island are nice and green now and there are wildflower beds here and there. It is so quiet peacful on a weekdays and feels far from the city. We rented a surrey to peddal around the 172-acre island.

Today I had fun working on the flowers I photographed there in Corel Painter 2018.

It looks like a spectacular place, to visit. Must be nearby you have a few separate articles, on this area. The Anemones are wonderful, quite different from the ones here. Thanks for sharing. I love the luminescence of the top two indeed.

Governors Island is right off the southern tip of Manhattan. Glad you like my work.

Thanks. Interesting to see what folks like. That is the one I like least. I think it is because of the dark vignette which has become a bit of a cliché. We all see things differently.

That’s so true – I have a thing about bees so that’s probably why i love it so much!
