Second of May Birds

I saw these birds on the same day as the Red-headed Woodpecker (previous post) in the Ramble, Central Park, NYC. The first one is a composite I created of a bird in a series—like a mini movie left to right. Click on the image to view larger.

Such fun! Those (composed) Kinglets who apparently have yet to grow their red crowns, are simply adorable!

Red crown pops up, it’s hidden under feathers, when a male is displaying. 🙂

All of these in one day! Spring in Central Park has definitely begun. Great photos, Sherry; the grosbeak is a special delight. I really like your move-action composite of the kinglet, it’s unique.

Thanks Jet. I saw more than these, but these are the ones that photographed well.

I am lucky that NYC is on the Atlantic migratory flyway. Be fun to show you some hot spots.
