I really loved seeing your Central Park visitors here, Sherry, and your clear and action-packed photos, especially because yesterday I just saw the very same birds (west coast equivalents). I do a Christmas Count for our local bird club and yesterday was the 24 hour period so I made more of an effort to walk around and count. I was delighted to find the red-breasted nuthatch, a downy w-p, several chestnut-backed chickadees, and a pair of oak titmice. They’re such a spritely bunch — fantastic friends to find as we move into a brand new year. Sending you my best wishes for a great new year; may it be filled with peanut butter pine cones.
