Nantucket Door

My husband and I took a day trip to Nantucket in 2002 and a van tour of the island with Gail’s Tours. The saltbox cottages with pitched roofs and wood shingle siding are lovely and are found in many places in New England, especially by the sea. Nantucket is a charming place for the well-to-do to vacation in.

How does that limerick go? There once was a man from Nantucket… 😉
Kidding aside Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket are high on our list of places to visit. With everything I’ve seen, read, and heard, I can’t believe we haven’t been yet – it must be beautiful to see in person.

It is beautiful. Too expensive for us, but OK for a short visit. Loved the sightseeing tour. Cheaper to stay someplace on Cape Cod, like Wellfleet, and venture out from there.
