To create my impression of a day in Chinatown I started with a mural at Second Avenue and 1^st Street, East Village, NYC in Photoshop. I then imported turtles taken at the Chinese Market under the Manhattan Bridge at East Broadway. I used a blend mode “divide” opacity 65% duplicated the layer and used a blend mode “subtract” opacity 20%. I duplicated those two layers and flipped them and placed part on the left wall. The result is a ballerina floating among cloud like turtles.
