Birds in Autumn

I photographed these in my favorite place, Central Park, this September and October, 2015. I have been trying out the new Sigma 150-600 mm lens on my Nikon D750 — not bad at all. Then I processed them in Lightroom, Photoshop. And in some, using onOne, I added textures, shading and other tricks to create the mood I wanted. This is my creative outlet.

Doing these things to my photos means I will never be able to sell them as stock images. I hope someone will like one of my photographs well enough to want to buy one or two.

Beautiful photos :-). I wonder – what were those House Sparrow doing? The catbird is my favorite. For me, it captures their flighty quality. I’ve heard two, caught glimpses of them moving around deep in a bush and then woosh, they flew far, far away!

Sorry, I have no advice on how to market photographs online.

The sparrows were hugging the stump for some reason. I wondered myself. Dust bathing and anting are common behaviors. This one got me.

It does kind of look like they are rubbing themselves on the stump for a good “scratch-down”. Very cute and interesting photo :-).

They are excellent quality images, maybe sell them via etsy?

Thanks for the tip and compliment. I have thought of Etsy but putting my work there one image at a time and paying a monthly fee to list each one is a daunting and expensive task. They don’t handle automatic galleries. I also feel that their site is huge; therefore, it would not be easy to find my photos.
