I spent a beautiful day at Nickerson Beach, Long Island, New York on June 17th 2015 with friends to look at seabirds. I took these with my 24-85 mm lens because my Nikon 80-400 mm is still being repaired.

Beautiful captures of shorebirds I have not seen, well captured!

These photos are a delight Sherry. Terns are so fast on the wing, very difficult to photograph, and here you captured them so clearly. Also love the dippers, nice view of their extraordinary wings, and the oystercatcher family (adults with their juvenile?). Looks like a great day.

Thank you. I try to only show my best. the other 200 will stay hidden 🙂 It was a lovley day. I don’t have a car so I thank my friend for taking me. I have my 80-400 mm lens back now.
BTW, I read you mystery, “Wicked Walkabout” and thoroughly enjoyed it. Marc and I went to Cairnes back in 2003 – saw the Great Barrier Reef too.

Sherry, I am so happy you enjoyed “Wicked Walkabout” and very much appreciate the feedback. If you are so moved, a review at Amazon would be appreciated. I’m about 3/4 done with the newest novel: “Golden Gate Graveyard.” If you and Marc have not been to San Francisco, this will bring you closer. Again, deep thanks. 😀 😀
