Seed Pods, Greenwich Village 11/26/2014
To create Fall colors and golden light I set a stage indoors for this macro photo. In Photoshop I added some enhancements; such as, a few outlines, blurs and shading.
Created in Photoshop. NIKON D750, f-stop f/4.5, exposure time 1/100 sec. ISO 100, focal length 105mm, and max aperture 3.2, Flash.
To capture leaves on windy Fall day I created a composite of 9 images in Photoshop. I added soft streaks – like the wind and some blur.

Leaves, Greenwich Village 11/20/2014 v2
I took two photos next to each other and blended them in Photoshop. Then I added texture and, lines and a vignette. Bryant Park is an odd place — migrants of all sorts wind up there.

Water Plant, Central Park 11/9/2014
My favorite season — because of the colors. I worked to bring out the best in this image. I used outlines, and many layers and filters in Photoshop.
Created in Photoshop. NIKON D750, f-stop f/8, exposure time 1/60 sec. ISO 125, focal length 105mm, and max aperture 3.
Seeds, Central Park 11/9/2014
What is it? I liked the shapes. I created outlines and reproduced them in the background. Created in Photoshop. NIKON D750, f-stop f/10, exposure time 1/60 sec. ISO 125, focal length 105mm, and max aperture 3.6
Version 2, based on suggestion from a friend. I think they look like they are on a platter.
Like layers of handmade paper. The graphic outlines and two dimensional look and colors strengthen this conception. Version is rotated.
Created in Photoshop. NIKON D750, f-stop f/10, exposure time 1/60 sec. ISO 125, focal length 105mm, and max aperture 3.2

Hermit Thrush, Madison Square Park 11/03/2014
This Hermit Thrush was standing in green grass – boring! So I perched it in grasses photographed on the High Line the day before. Outlines and filters plus other effects created this misty image.
Created in Photoshop. Used 20141102_High-Line-extension_10.jpg for the background. NIKON D750, f-stop f/8, exposure time 1/1000sec. ISO 720, focal length 85mm, and max aperture 4.3
Hermit Thrush, Central Park 10/25/2014
Tricks of layer styles and transparencies of a Corel Painter version of the Hermit Thrush in Photoshop produced this other worldly effect.
Created in Photoshop and Corel Painter. NIKON D610, f-stop f/5.6, exposure time 1/500sec. ISO 3200, focal length 400mm, and max aperture 5.6
Golden Leaf and Fall Flower, Central Park 10/25/2014
Magnificent natural backlighting. I just had to snap the photo. I love the colors. I did sketching of outlines and grayed out the background a bit.
Created in Photoshop. NIKON D610, f-stop 4.6, exposure time 1/4000 sec. ISO 3200, lens 105mm f/2.8 400mm, and max aperture 5.
The foreground is original. The leaves really were that color! I added duplicates of the branches and applied effects in Photoshop.
Created in Photoshop. NIKON D610, f-stop 5.6, exposure time 1/500sec. ISO 1600, focal length 400mm, and max aperture 5.
